Come and join the choir « Les Anglais du Coin » for a Carol Concert on Sunday 18th December, Place du Bouffay, La Roche-Bernard, at 6.30 pm
(In the Chapelle Notre Dame if it rains)
It would be great if as many authentic Brits as possible could come along and sing !
You don’t have to be Pavarotti ! There will only be well-known carols and we’ll provide word sheets just in case.
The carols will be accompanied on organ, whistles and bagpipes by Rachel & Hervé Dréan.
There won’t be any rehearsals so just come along on the night.
We’ll serve mulled cider or vin chaud afterwards.
If you happen to own Father Christmas hats or anything else red, that would help the festive atmosphere !
For logistic purposes, could you let us know if you intend coming ? ( firstname.lastname@example.org )
And please do pass on this message to any other Brits you know in the area – the more the merrier.
Here’s the list of carols (we might not get through all of them) :
1. O come all ye faithful
2. Ding dong merrily on high
3. O little town of Bethlehem
4. While shepherds watched
5. In the bleak midwinter
6. Good King Wenceslas
7. God rest ye merry gentlemen
8. The holly and the Ivy
9. The first Noël
10. Once in Royal David’s city
11. I saw three ships
12. Silent Night
13. Hark the Herald angels sing
14. We wish you a merry Christmas
Hope to see lots of you on the 18th
All the best and Happy Christmas if you can’t make it !
